Our usual Sunday morning services celebrate the
Holy Eucharist, which means "to give thanks."
This sacrament is also known as Holy Communion.
In it, we partake of bread and wine, which are the
outward and visible signs of the body and blood
of Christ, given freely to his people.
Our 8:00 a.m. services are Rite I, and typically are without music, though exceptions may be made for certain Holy Days. Our 10:30 a.m. services are Rite II, and typically include hymns, a chanted psalm, and a choral offertory anthem. On Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m., we also offer a "Prayer & Praise" service, featuring different liturgical styles and different types of music.
Childcare is typically offered during the 10:30 a.m. service for those who wish it. Sunday school is also offered during the first part of the 10:30 service from September until June, with children joining their parents in the church for communion. Children are also always welcome in the church during services. Crayons and coloring sheets are available in the Narthex (if you can't find them, please feel free to ask an usher).
