Calvary welcomes The Rev. Peggy Bryan who will be with us during the process of calling a Rector.

Peggy, a California native, grew up splitting time two blocks from the beach in Santa Cruz and summers at a logging camp in the eastern Sierra. She graduated from the University of Southern California and worked 22 years in public education, 20 as a principal, with a passion for designing and implementing creative programs for at-risk students. Responding to a call to ministry she graduated from seminary and served for over a year at Calvary as a deacon before being ordained a priest. Preparation included serving a six-month internship on Oaxaca, Mexico where she held weekly services in the state prison and a clinical pastoral residency in San Jose specializing in emergency room responses to suicidal ideations. Serving as Associate Pastor at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Saratoga, California Peggy formed and led Stepping Stones, a ministry to the incarcerated and most frequently formed the non-profit Hope Inside/Out focusing on supporting those released to the community. She is returning to Calvary as Interim Pastor. pbryan@calvarysantacruz.org
